good
condition. I have used this for several months and now
must part ways! |
| Any
defects we have found: |
Odd
bit of rust and I fixed the foam handle with silicone
which has held it now for many months |
| Our
opinion!: |
Suitable
from birth and folds flat on itself so easier to fit in
car boot
The front
wheels are air filled but small and more suited to
shopping than off-road. I found it hard to push without
children inside but the weight of child holds these wheels
down and stops them swivelling 360 degrees (which is what
they do)
Rolls Royce
of doubles and very versatile. The quality is
fantastic
Bargain
price as I have a new double now and need space!

Jane
Powertwin PRO
| Specification: |
Colour
is Cherry/Lime
|
| Condition:
|
Good
used condition for a double and at a glance looks great |
| Any
defects we have found: |
Some
scratching on front wheel fork as always happens and on
chassis. Mark on top right of front seat but doesnt look
too bad and doesnt show when hood on. Few other marks etc
but nothing worth noting. Have glued a very small nick
under the foam handle bar.
NO
RAINCOVER but hoods pull over a fair bit so not needed if
front child doesnt need one and singles would fit
|
| Our
opinion!: |
Very
easy to push and fits through doorways. I also found it
easy to get up kerbs.Adjustable rear handle with hand
brake seemed quite low in the basic position but of course
can be adjusted up.
Not sure if
I prefer this to the Phil & Teds. It's ideal if you
don't like the idea of a child being at the back near the
floor but with a heavy child in the front seat it's not as
easy to push as the P&T over rough ground or uneven
pavements or pavements with an uneven camber. The front
seat isnt as big as the P&T so wont last as long and I
think it could be improved by having an opening bumper bar
(I dont like the idea of removing the bumper bar
completely which is what a lot of people seem to do) but
in any case it will last most people until their elder
child is walking almost all the time (then you can switch
to a single pushchair with buggyboard maybe)
This
version can have the Jane version of the kiddyboard
attached meaning you can move 3 children at once! You can
do this with a Mountain Buggy side by side but no other
tandem that I know of. This has inbuilt car seat adapters
so needs the pro Jane rebel car seat
To me seems
larger than the non-pro earlier version but the fabric can
be reversed so this is why. The fabric is SO much better
than the non-pro in terms of quality. Another thing I
liked was the way the hoods just slide on to the chassis.
It just seems better quality overall

| Any
defects we have found: |
Some
marks and scratches as to be expected but for its age it's
in good condition and better than many newer models I have
seen. Cant see ant major fabric tears. One popper on main
seat fabric top right broken so fixed on with clip.
Handlebar foam intact but spongy
I havent
cleaned or washed the covers yet so photos will follow

| Our
opinion!: |
A
forerunner to the E3 but just as good I find and works the
same. The only major difference from the E3 is that when
the second seat is on the front (and main seat is flat for
the baby) it's attached by zips rather than the removable
clips. I have used this several times and love it. It's no
different to push and use that the E3
It's nice
and compact when folded and so fits in my small car boot -
and the wheels pop off in an instant too.
I can push with 2 children in with one hand too except
when on rough ground.
Cocoon or
no cocoon...? I managed with my first E3 without thinking
that was just as easy. But as my baby got heavier I found
it a strain and also meant I couldnt lift her out easily
when she was sleeping. So I bought a cocoon when she was 3
months old and now think they are a must! It lasted her to
8 months and she wasnt small at all - but some people
report they dont last long and are small. I just used it
for out n about and so having a scrunched up baby in a
lie-flat position was fine as she was happy this way. It
also meant that when I went places I could lift the cocoon
out and allow her to sleep on in a flat position (car
seats should be for cars - one of my other gripes!)
I have
recently purchased a Lazy ted (not for sale) and also
recommend these as they allow you to use the double seat
as a bouncer chair to 2 years. It again means when you are
out and about you dont need to lug something along for
your baby or child to sit in - leaving your arms free for
your cake and coffee!
